Equine dentistry care is an integral part of our equine wellness program. Proper dental maintenance allows our horses to:

• Maximize their ability to utilize their feed
• Have a comfortable mouth when eating or being worked
• Prevent premature expiration of teeth and maintenance of the grinding surfaces

What to Expect with Your Equine Dentistry Exam

Our veterinarians will perform a thorough oral exam and the necessary dental float to help maintain your horse’s oral health. If your horse is having problems with their mouth, further diagnostics such as radiographs and endoscopic exams can be performed to aid in identifying the issue. Advanced techniques such as cap, fragment or tooth extractions can be performed as needed.
